St. Joseph County has more than 150 miles of naivigable rivers. That's more than any other county in Michigan.

Fawn River
An adventurous, narrow and twisting river. It has beautiful scenery and good fishing 1-4 M.P.H. current , 1-6ft deep

Pigeon River
A beautiful wooded river with wildlife and fishing, downed trees make this river 1 for the more experienced. 1-4 M.P.H current *1-4ft. deep

Portage River
Part of the Heritage Water Trails. Slow and meandering with historical landmarks. 1-3 M.P.H. current, 1-4ft. deep

Prairie River
Winding and shallow. Ever changing scenery Plenty of wildlife
Good winter trip, 1-3ft.deep

Rocky River
Wild and beautiful, Good fishing river. Sparsely populated 1-4 M.P.H. current, 1-6ft deep.

St. Joseph River
Part of the Heritage Water Trails. Many historical sites along the way, including the Langley Covered Bridge. Good Fishing,. Narrow up river, wider and slower down river 2-5 M.P.H. current, 1-15ft deep

Primitive Canoe Camping
